課程概述 |
This course is designed to help students acquire basic knowledge of the Japanese business, we will study the Japanese economy and the basic characteristics of the Japanese industrial and business organizations, such as the relationship between large enterprises and small and medium enterprises, business groups, and labor market. This course will introduce various Japanese companies to study the industrial structures and the mechanism of their performance. In addition, Japanese business models, such as the “lean production system” of Toyota Motor Corporation and the “ameba management” of Kyocera Corporation will be introduced. |

課程目標 |
This course intends to provide students an understanding of the following:
(1) transition of the Japanese economy,
(2) characteristics of the Japanese industrial and business organizations,
(3) Japanese business models, and
(4) present Japanese companies. |

課程要求 |
Course Pre-requirement:
Credits of Introductory Financial Accounting
Knowledge of how to conduct financial accounting analysis is a course pre-requirement.
Course Requirement:
All students in this course are required to give a group presentation.
No make-up assignments and examination will be provided in this course.
Final examination will be held on January 15. |
